Why is a report showing an older revision?
Symptoms
- A generated PDF does not include a recent change.
- Two people are looking at sheets that disagree.
Likely causes
- The report was generated from a published revision that has since been superseded.
- The change was made in a draft that has not been published, and drafts are not visible to operational roles.
- An older exported PDF is being read rather than a freshly generated one.
Step-by-step checks
- Open the record's revision history and identify which revision is currently published.
- Confirm the change was published rather than left in draft.
- Regenerate the report rather than reopening a previously exported file.
Recommended solution
Publish the revision containing the change, then regenerate. A previously exported PDF is a snapshot of the revision it was made from and does not update.
